Dr. Matthew Seitman, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, received his B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Judaic Studies from The George Washington University in Washington D.C., and his M.A. and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University, Los Angeles. His clinical training has been extremely varied serving diverse populations and clinical presentations. Dr. Seitman has worked in community-based and post-incarceration mental health settings. He has worked with adults and teens struggling with a variety of issues including: depression, anxiety, PTSD, psychotic disorders, self-injury behaviors, trauma and abuse, and sexual dysfunction.
Dr. Seitman utilizes a hybrid approach combining elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Psychodynamic approaches. He has received significant trainings in trauma-informed care, crisis assessment and intervention, as well as domestic violence advocacy. Dr. Seitman is a LGBTQIA+ ally as well as a Kink Aware Therapist. Dr. Seitman believes in the importance of honoring individual experiences, especially among people of marginalized groups. He is a strong advocate of social justice and recognizes the power of the clinical experience in both healing and advocacy.
